Step aside Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver. The food world has a new rivalry – Chin Vs Beer – a food feud like no other. Tensions will rise ahead of Monday night’s kitchen show down between Lee Lin Chin and Maggie Beer in a special broadcast of Lee Linguine: It’s Chinner Time at 7:30pm on The Feed on SBS 2. Lee Lin Chin is one of the most respected and recognisable newsreaders in Australia. With over 46 years of journalistic experience and over 20 years at SBS alone she’s gone from strength to strength. Maggie Beer is one of Australia’s favourite cooks, adored for her warmth, recipes and incredible range of gourmet food products. Beer’s food empire has never been rivalled; until now. When Lee Lin Chin signed on to SBS 2’s youth news program The Feed, she did not thoroughly read her contract. Forced to host eleven episodes of celebrity gossip segment, Celebrity Chin Wag, Lee Lin cracked and tried to quit. Contractually obliged to continue on the show, she created her own cooking segment entitled Lee Linguine, It’s Chinner Time. Since its debut Lee Linguine has rocked the food world turning the typical food program format on its head, and it didn’t take long for guest MasterChef Australia judge Maggie Beer to notice. This Monday at 7.30 on The Feed, Australia’s two most beloved celebrity cooks face off. Two may enter the kitchen but only one will leave. Will this be the end of Chinner Time as we know it? Tune in and catch this exciting food feud on Monday, June 30 on The Feed, 7.30pm on SBS 2. Join in the conversation at @TheFeedSBS2. View a sneak peek of Monday’s episode here:
