'Take me to the beach' has been my mantra for the past year, perhaps even longer. Words cannot quite explain how I'd yearned to feel the sun on my bare skin and have the angst of life's curved balls gently smoothed away by the sand and the sea. I think it was American writer, Kate Chopin (1850-1904), who said that 'the voice of the sea speaks to the soul. The touch of the sea is sensuous, enfolding the body in its soft, close embrace'. There is so much truth in those sweet words, no? A walk on the beach soothes the soul...Getting closer to nature...Exploring crab cove...Whiling away the day...Hastings Street snaps...Life and colour at Eumundi Market...And a room with a view... I hope you have enjoyed these few postcards from my Noosa beach holiday, dear readers. Tell me, when your body and soul needs time out and comfort, what's your destination?

I never knew what seeing the ocean everyday did to the soul until we moved to the coast. We thought we'd miss the city, but little did we know. Hopefully we'll see you on our beach soon.

Hi Julie... thanks for those kind words... I am envious to know that you live by the sea. I'd love to do that! Yes, I read or heard that you had recently been to Noosa. It's heaven on earth to me... we'll be going back very soon!

Liz, how true... I love listening to the waves too... there is something very soothing about it. Actually, we have some white noise CDs with wave music that we play sometimes to lull us off to sleep!

Liz, these are beautiful...glad you could go and enjoy everything. I'm lucky to live by the beautiful Baltic Sea...but in the Summer, we go camping in Croatia where the water is much warmer. :) ela

Beautiful pictures Lizzy. Have always loved the sea, the sound of the waves, looking at boats from a distance, the beautiful sand on your feet. Spending Easter on the Great Ocean Road, cannot wait!
