Champagne expert and ambassador Kyla Kirkpatrick, aka The Champagne Dame, returns to Canberra on Saturday, 23 May to take guests on a colourful, enigmatic journey into the wonderful world of the women of Champagne.

Kyla's workshop Magnums and Maisons tells the story of some of the most powerful and inspirational women of Champagne. From the pioneering Madame Clicquot to the charismatic Madame Lily Bollinger, guests will sip their way through five fabulous Maisons as Kyla explores their rich history and stories.

The Champagne Dame says she is looking forward to returning to Canberra to present an inspirational and heartwarming presentation looking at the women behind some of the world’s biggest champagne houses.
'Champagne is known as the wine of Kings and for very good reason, but its rise to infamy is also due to the hard work, toiling and innovation of some incredible women who helped create empires and make champagne what it is today,' Kyla says.

Following the workshop, guests will be able to mingle and enjoy canapés and a glass of Champagne in the beautiful Canberra Centre event space.  The event will take place on Saturday, 23 May from 1.00pm to 3.00pm, in between Country Road and Jigsaw on Level. The cost is $50.00. To secure your tickets visit the what’s on page at The Canberra Centre web site.

Yes, I think it would be a good one to attend, especially if you are fond of bubbles : )

For some odd and unfair reason had always thought of champagne making as 'men's business'!! Oh, would so love to be there . . . and the price of entry surely is most reasonable!!

What a fascinating event, Liz. :-) I'm not one for parties, per se, but I'd love tasting champagne and learning such interesting stories. :-)

What a gorgeous event! I would love to attend something so elegant, even though I am not a huge bubbly fan. Have fun!
