Dear Lizzy,

She is very beautiful. Is she in Australia now? So you have Hungarian heritage like one of my fave composers Franz Liszt - very passionate people indeed :)

This is a photo of my mother on her wedding day with my grandmother.

Thank you Chopinand... Mum passed away in 1997. I miss her very much and would give the world to spend a single afternoon in her company in the kitchen.

Thanks for sharing the photos of your mother and grandmother. They are very beautiful!

So sorry to hear that Lizzy. My grandma passed away on 11 Dec 2007. Part of why I wanted to start my blog was to honour some of her recipes which mum still cooks.

As my parents approach their twilight years, I feel that time becomes more precious. Thankfully they are sprightly and love visiting Sydney for holidays each year which they have been doing for over 30 years.

Rhu, thank you. Indeed a beautiful memory keeper. And a lovely pic of my mother and the era.
